Dale A. Kruger, CPA

Dale graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1981 with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He gained his tax knowledge by working for a national firm until he started his own tax practice in 1986. In 1991, he sold his tax practice and joined the present organization. Dale specializes in all types of tax preparation and planning, and he provides consulting for individuals, businesses, estates and trusts. He also has extensive experience communicating with taxing authorities to resolve problems for clients.

Melissa Clary, CPA

Melissa A. Clary, CPA

Melissa graduated from Colorado State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and has been a CPA since 2000. She specializes in QuickBooks, small business consulting and accounting, and tax preparation of all types. Melissa is active in the following organizations in the community.
  • The Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce.
  • Emerge Colorado a young professionals networking group.
  • A member of Moxie Exchange group in which executives work to improve their businesses.
  • A member of the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA) in which members of the association rely on one another to build a network in which they will better serve business clients.
  • She currently serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Partners Mentoring Youth.
  • Current member of Colorado Society of CPAS.
In 2009, Melissa was on the list of Women of Influence and Forty under 40, in the Northern Colorado Business Report for her business and community efforts.

Laurie Chronopoulos, CPA

Laurie Chronopoulos, CPA

Certified Quickbooks Advisor
Laurie graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She has worked in public and private accounting and specializes in individual and business tax preparation. Laurie has extensive knowledge with QuickBooks and enjoys working with business clients to help them with their accounting. Laurie also specializes in payroll, and is our payroll supervisor.  She has been with the firm since 2006.

Laurie Chronopoulos, CPA

Kathryn S. Cermak, EA

Kathryn graduated from Colorado State University in 1983 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She continued her accounting education while working at CSU. Kathryn purchased Dale’s original business in 1991 and ran it until 2007 when she sold it. She became an Enrolled Agent in 1995. Kathryn came to Kruger and Clary to help out when there was a merger with another CPA firm. She specializes in individual tax preparation and works with Dale on the fiduciary returns. She has been with the firm since 2008.

Jennifer Aley, CPA

Jennifer Murphy

Certified Quickbooks Advisor
Jennifer has over 10 years experience in accounting, and 6 years of tax preparation experience. Along with her work experience, she has taken a variety of accounting courses at Front Range Community College. She is highly skilled in QuickBooks and Excel and enjoys helping clients set up and maintain their QuickBooks data files. Jennifer joined the firm in 2008.

Cindy Boehmer

Cindy has been a business owner in Larimer County for almost 30 years with her husband, Lon. Cindy has been a client of Kruger & Clary’s for years, and since family life has become less demanding she decided to join the team as Administrative Assistant. Accounting has always been a love of Cindy’s and she looks forward to applying her years of experience to help our office staff and the clients.

Carol McElwain

Carol McElwain

Carol McElwain is an Administrative Assistant at Kruger & Clary, providing administrative support to the partners and staff accountants. She has over 30 years of varied business experience ranging from private business office support, to restaurant management, to being a partner of a music therapy record label. For 7 years she was the executive assistant to the partners and audit team at a mid-sized CPA firm in Pasadena, CA and uses that experience as she assists our accounting staff. Carol attended Western Michigan University where she majored in commercial art.
